Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term procurement strategies aligned with the company’s business and operational objectives.
- Lead, manage, and develop the Procurement Department comprehensively, covering direct and indirect materials.
- Control and oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including demand planning, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and vendor evaluation.
- Ensure the availability of production materials (raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and services) in a timely manner, in accordance with specifications and cost efficiency.
- Manage and develop strategic vendors to ensure supply continuity, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Establish and monitor vendor management, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation policies.
- Control and optimize procurement costs through cost-saving initiatives, value engineering, and strategic sourcing.
- Coordinate closely with related departments (Production, SCM, Engineering, QA/QC, Finance, Warehouse, GA, and HSE) to ensure alignment of procurement requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, SOPs, and management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Manage the procurement budget and monitor budget realization.
- Identify and manage procurement risks, including supply risk, price fluctuations, and single-supplier dependency.
- Prepare and present procurement performance reports to management (cost savings, vendor performance, supply reliability).
- Lead the development of the procurement team through coaching, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
- Act as a hands-on leader who is directly involved in critical procurement activities, including key sourcing decisions, strategic negotiations, and problem-solving for urgent or high-impact procurement issues.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to the procurement team by providing continuous guidance, on-the-job training, and constructive feedback to improve team capability and performance.
- Demonstrate coachable leadership by actively accepting feedback from management and stakeholders, and continuously improving procurement strategies, processes, and leadership effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Procurement within the manufacturing industry, including 3–5 years at the Manager/Department Head level.
- Experience in the Printing or Packaging industry is a strong advantage, particularly in sourcing ink, chemicals, film/foil, and printing/packaging machinery and spare parts.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor and supplier management, and end-to-end procurement processes.
- Proven capability in cost analysis, cost savings, and budget control.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing supply chain operations, cross-functional coordination, and experience with ERP systems, including regular reporting.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong leadership, communication skills, high integrity, and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management are an advantage.
- Proven experience as a hands-on procurement leader, with the ability to operate both at strategic and operational levels when required.
- Coachable mindset, open to feedback, continuous learning, and adaptive to changes in business direction, market conditions, and organizational priorities.
- Strong capability in people development, including coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing procurement teams.
- Willingness to be based in Jababeka 2, Cikarang.
