Hot foil stamping are made by pressing pigmented foil onto label material using a heated, engraved plate. Some people prefer to combine embossing with foil stamping. Fortunately, both finishes can be done simultaneously, saving the need for an additional pass.
When using cold foil for label application, UV-activated adhesive is applied to the desired areas of the substrate. The foil is then pressed onto the adhesive using rollers, and any excess foil is removed. Finally, a UV light is used to cure and secure the foil in place.
